Today, Kindergartners learned that when you combine primary colors in different way they form new colors; the secondary colors. We filled three giant pieces of paper today with secondary colors. The first group got two jars of paint: yellow and red, which they mixed together on the paper to make orange. The second group had yellow and blue, making green, and the third group had red and blue, making a beautiful purple. Each group switched three times so they all had a chance to create the different secondary colors.
Check back next week to see what we do with these giant paintings!
