This week the 7th graders are creating 2-dimensional designs using only geometric shapes and patterns involving circles and lines. They split their square paper into two, and created a different design (using the same elements) on each side. Once their pencil drawings were finished, they began painting. They chose one side to paint with cool colors (shades of blue, green and purple), and one side with warms colors (shades on red, orange and yellow). I am super excited about how great these are turning out so far. The secret with 2-D design is craft and precision, and I would say so far so good 7th graders!
Tune in next week to see updated results.
